Following defeat at Manchester United yesterday, Wenger said: "In terms of technique and ability there is hardly anything between us, Chelsea and Manchester United.

"I feel we have done a lot for the Premier League this season and for the promotion of it all over the world.

"I'm not an idealist, I want to win trophies.

"But I want to continue playing the way we play and get better.

"If we do that then the trophies will come."
