Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has burnout fears for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Daily Mail says Wenger fears Oxlade-Chamberlain will suffer from burn-out if he is selected for the European Under 21 Championships this summer.

And the Arsenal manager will make a personal plea to England manager Roy Hodgson to ensure his talented forward is not selected for the tournament.

England Under 21 boss Stuart Pearce has made public his desire to pick the youngster for the tournament in Israel - despite the fact that Oxlade-Chamberlain is an established senior international - and will discuss the idea with Hodgson.
