Arsenal boss Wenger: Fabianski great keeper. Just unlucky

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he has total confidence in the goalkeepers pool he has at the club. Lukasz Fabianski has come in for heavy criticism over his performance at Porto.

"We live with opinions of people and everybody is entitled to theirs," Wenger told arsenal.com. "But I believe in the keepers I have.

"We have to give Fabianski support and show solidarity with him. I believe he will be a great goalkeeper. He had an unlucky night.

"Every goalkeeper who had a great career has had a night like that. On the first goal, of course, on the second all the circumstances went against him. It does not change my opinion about him.

"It is a good opportunity for us to show that we are a special club and that we have a special togetherness and that we win and lose as a team.

"It happened to him on the night and we can put it right in the second leg and that is where we can show how special we are.

"Fabianski is not as young as you think he is. He has already played in Poland and has won championships in Poland. Almunia is 34-years-old. If you don't have experience at 34, you never get experience."
