Arsenal boss Wenger convinced Lacazette on brink of signing

Arsenal are convinced a deal is close for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Sun says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believes Lyon are finally ready to cash in on hitman Lacazette to fund their own summer spree.

The French outfit have agreed a £16.5m deal with Chelsea for striker Bertrand Traore, 21.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed: “We're fine-tuning the talks with the player and I hope to be able to conclude the deal in the next few days."

And with Lyon also after Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala for £20m, Aulas is banking on Lacazette's departure to finance the deals.

Arsenal are ready to spend a club-record £50m on French international Lacazette, who has bagged 100 goals in 203 Ligue 1 games.
