Arsenal are being linked with Olympique Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena. The Daily Express says the Gunners have been keeping an eye on Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye, but it is thought they would baulk at the £22 million asking price that has been placed on him.

Valbuena, however appears to be a more realistic target with the 29-year-old poised to leave Marseille in January.

The playmaker is rated in the €10 million class.
