Arsenal boss Wenger: Cesc has more freedom to attack

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he's given Cesc Fabregas more freedom to attack this season.

With two wins from their opening two games of the new season, Wenger told arsenal.com: "I do not want to put too much pressure on him but he can score goals.

"He has improved his finishing, his power in finishing as well and he was always in interesting situations offensively but he could not always finish but he is now at an age where he can.

"He scored goals as a young boy so I can't see why it won't come back. It usually comes back at around 22, 23 years of age.

"He has more [license to get forward] but it depends as well on the structure of our team," added Wenger.

"Sometimes when Abou Diaby plays Cesc is more defensive because Diaby is more an offensive support. So it depends, we adapt always and we try to find the right balance to the team."
