Arsenal boss Wenger admits deal unlikely for Bolton defender Cahill

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he may drop his pursuit of Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.

When Thomas Vermaelen returns from injury, that could mean an end to interest in £15m-rated Bolton man Cahill, who they tried to get in August.

Wenger said: "I like Cahill as a player but Vermaelen will be back in two weeks and Laurent Koscielny is a good defender too."
