Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes Mesut Ozil's international retirement is a boost to the club.
Former Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has urged Germany coach Joachim Low to convince Ozil to return to the national team, claiming his country needs him.
But Emery says: "International breaks are not easy if you have to play two matches.
"When players stop this, maybe it can help them focus more for us, with training and improving things.
"It could help Mesut to find our ideas more quickly."
Ozil is in line to feature against Leicester at the Emirates tonight after missing the 5-1 rout against Fulham due to back spasms.
