Arsenal boss Emery admits Koscielny doubtful for Brighton

Arsenal manager Unai Emery admits that captain Laurent Koscielny is a doubt for their clash against Brighton.

The Gunners are hoping to avoid any serious injuries ahead of their Europa League semi final second leg against Valencia next Thursday.

And it appears Koscielny may be unable to recover in time for the Brighton game at the very least. It appears the issue with Koscielny is more about fitness than any injury.

Emery said to reporters: "I hope that Koscielny is going to be okay for Sunday and the second leg away, but I don't know.

"Laurent was very tired and he ran back with the transitions in the second half 50 metres for a sprint, and it's normal that he can be tired or struggling.

"I prefer to change him to give this ten minutes to Nacho Monreal after his small injuries, to help us and to save minutes for Laurent Koscielny."
