Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits he chatted with his former boss Pep Guardiola about signing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Arteta raided his former club Manchester City, where he was assistant manager, for Jesus and Zinchenko this summer.
He admits that he did have a conversation with Guardiola about the matter, but would not go into the details about their conversation.
The Spaniard told reporters on the eve of the new Premier League season: "I cannot say how it was but I can tell you that this works both ways and both parties have to be happy to do that.
"He was telling me that it was two phenomenal people that he was losing. I know them and I know how privileged we are to have them and I'm really happy."
