Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken about the possible issues that defender Ben White may face during the remainder of his England career.

The 25-year-old was in the World Cup squad for the tournament in Qatar, but had to leave after the group stages due to personal circumstances.

There have since been stories about White having a fall-out with England assistant coach Steve Holland.

“That is something personal that is down to Ben," Arteta told reporters.

"We have done everything that we could to support him to again give him an environment that he is comfortable in. He has been exceptional with us and that is what we expect for him."

"We can't control that," he added on speculation about White's conduct after he left the England squad.

"I know who Ben is, what he needs, what his character is and how happy we all are to have him at the club."
