Arsenal star Bukayo Saka was suffering with fatigue in their game against Manchester City.
Saka was taken off in the second half for Gabriel Martinelli by manager Mikel Arteta.
While many fans were confused at a primary attacking threat being subbed off, Arteta admitted he had little other option.
"As you know he's been out for a few weeks now with a little problem," he said post-game.
"He was feeling that fatigue. Right now he hasn't trained. He trained just one day before the match.
“He made a big contribution, but 90 minutes was a lot today."
