Arsenal boss Arteta delighted with Havertz, Raya impact: I love them

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was not afraid to praise two of his summer signings.

The Spaniard has endured some criticism from fans and pundits for two moves he made in the off-season.

The Gunners brought in Kai Havertz from Chelsea and David Raya from Brentford.

On Havertz, he stated: “I love him. I think we all love him as a player as a person, everything that he brings to the team. There were two or three moments the other day at 4-0, 5-0, 6-0 with how he attracts people, how he's constantly attacking the box and how he affects the play that I really like.

“If you ask him to play as a nine, as a left attacking midfielder, as a right attacking midfielder, on the base defending, he does it. He's just a joy to work with."

He then added on Raya taking some time to shine as no.1: “No. Especially what I like about David is what he does in goal and things he prevents without you even seeing because he has anticipated them.

“He had a very challenging environment, but what I love about him as that even when it was like this he had the courage to be himself and he pushed that. He has earned the right to be very respected and I'm really happy that he's doing it."
