Arsenal are ready to bid for West Ham United defender Winston Reid.
The Daily Star says the Gunners are understood to be looking at signing West Ham's Reid this afternoon.
Reid, 26, has just a year left on his contract and could be available for around £3m.
Arsene Wenger's defensive options are thin on the ground following Thomas Vermaelen's move to Barcelona.
He only has Calum Chambers, 19, as cover for first-choice centre-backs Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny.
