Arsenal attacker Havertz happy going back to Porto: Good memories

Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz has hailed the spirit inside the squad this season.

Havertz struck in victory at Burnley on Saturday.

“I think we trust ourselves," the German told arsenal.com.

“We know the quality we all have and we trust each other and that's what we did.

“But still, it's not the end now, we need to keep being focussed. We just work hard and try to enjoy ourselves on the pitch and that's what we did today as well."

The Gunners go to Porto for the first-leg of their Champions League round 16 tie this week. It was where Havertz proved the matchwinner for Chelsea in 2021 Champions League final.

He said: “For me, it's always going to be a nice memory and I'm looking forward to going there [Estadio do Dragao] again.

“I have good memories there, things are always going to be hard there but I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully we're going to win the game.

“I think every team that plays in the Champions League wants to win it and that's the goal and we all go into this competition to go as far as possible.

“But still you have to look game-by-game, there are two games to play now. Wednesday's the first one, try to win it and see for the other game as well."
