Arsenal assure Bayer Leverkusen and Xhaka over transfer planned

Bayer Leverkusen's deal for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka remains on track.

The Switzerland international has agreed personal terms with Bayer and been given the all clear by Arsenal to leave.

However, doubts have emerged with manager Mikel Arteta stalling approval and Bayern Munich expressing interest.

But Football.London says Bayer's move remains on course with a fee of £13m settled.

Arteta is reluctant to release Xhaka before a replacement is found, but all parties involved are being kept up to speed on developments.
