Arsenal and Watford have played a draw in their first preseason fixture.

Marquinhos struck for the Gunners after Watford had gone ahead through Ismael Kone.

The match was held at London Colney with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta selecting a strong line-up.

Gabriel Jesus lined up in attack alongside Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah. Arsenal also included first-choice defenders Ben White and Gabriel from the off, as well as Cedric Soares and Rob Holding, who played a role in the equaliser.
