Arsenal allow Ben Sheaf to extend Doncaster loan

Arsenal have extended Ben Sheaf's loan at Doncaster Rovers.

Things have gone well at the League One club for the 21-year-old midfielder, having made 25 appearances across all competitions.

And Rovers boss Darren Moore thinks Sheaf will continue to improve.

"We're pleased to get that done," Moore said.

"Ben has been superb. We've all seen the qualities that he's brought to the team.

"And we've seen what an important figure he has been for the team this season thus far.

"He's got god height and size, he's got wonderful feet, his game understanding is immpecable in terms of knowing what is required of him and knowing his strengths.

"He's one that has grown immensely in terms of where he's at now.

"And I think he'll kick on again. There is more to come from him and there is another door of opportunity that he'll step through because of the volume of games he's had."

Moore added: "There's no doubting his ability," he said.

"I've known Ben over many years by going up against him with youth teams and U23s.

"In terms of where we're at, he's been very good and we're very pleased to extend it.

"He's another one that must keep his consistency going.

"The job is try to get him even better than where he's at."
