Arsenal ace Bendtner: I will be world's best striker in 5 years

Arsenal youngster Nicklas Bendtner is determined to become the world's best striker in five years' time.

And, despite being ruled out until the New Year through injury, the Arsenal striker still believes he can be the top scorer in the Premier League and at next summer's World Cup.

Bendtner, 21, was crowned Denmark's Player of the Year and also won Goal of the Year award at a prestigious ceremony in Copenhagen on Monday night.

Bendtner said after picking up the two awards: "I had three aims this year - to get into the Arsenal team, qualify for the World Cup and to be Player of the Year. I have achieved them all.

"I want to be top scorer in the Premier League, top scorer at the World Cup and, within five years, I want to be among the best strikers in the world."
