Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni admits he couldn't count on the fitness of Serie A pair Joaquin Correa and Nico Gonzalez.

Inter Milan attacker Correa and Fiorentina's Nico both missed selection due to injury doubts.

Scaloni explained: “Unfortunately, those two players had to leave because there were no certainties that they would be fit for the entire competition.

“I am very sad because of their injuries, two teammates replaced them and are giving their contribution.

“There are at least 10 countries who can win.

“Details will be crucial, but we'll give our all to ensure things go well for us. We are calm, we always have pressure, but there is a different emotive charge and we are calmer than we used to be."
