Roma have struck personal terms with Alberto Aquilani over a new contract.

The two parties have been discussing a new deal for over 18 months and Corriere dello Sport says a breakthrough has been found this week.

It's understood Aquilani has verbally agreed a four-year contract which will keep him at Roma until 2013.
