Russian clubs are set to test Liverpool's resolve for unhappy defender Martin Skrtel.

Skrtel hit out at his treatment by manager Brendan Rodgers in the Slovakian press on the weekend.

The Telegraph says Zenit St Petersburg and Anzhi are competing to bring Skrtel to Russia before their transfer window closes.

Skrtel only penned a new deal with the Reds earlier this season.
