Anzhi are seeking to buy Christopher Samba back from QPR.
The Daily Star says the 29-year-old defender is expected to be one of the big names allowed to leave this summer, when QPR will try to slash their huge wage bill whether they stay up or not.
His old club are keen to buy him back only a few months after selling him to the Hoops.
Samba joined Rangers on deadline day in January on a four-and-a-half year deal.
He became their record signing after they activated the £12.5m buyout clause in his Anzhi contract.
