Royal Antwerp defender Toby Alderweireld has denied clashing with Belgium teammate Eden Hazard at the World Cup.
It was claimed Alderweireld and the Real Madrid attacker had to be dragged apart by teammates after defeat to Morocco.
But Alderweireld, formerly of Tottenham, denies any tension with the ex-Chelsea captain.
He told L'Equipe: "That was not the case at all.
"That we were nose to nose? Not even almost.
"It really wasn't true," continued the defender of Antwerp. "A discussion? Zero, zero, zero. But you do lose that match and so everyone had to be focused again in a short time, which is why such a group conversation was good. And then as a team we also played a very good game against Croatia."
