Another one?! FAW name Man City striker Haaland Player of Year with record vote

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named the Football Writers' Association's Footballer of the Year.

Haaland was voted by football writers as the best this season after a record breaking first campaign in England with City. He's scored 51 goals in all competitions as City have moved to the top the Premier League and also reached the FA Cup final and the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The 22-year-old Norway international, who arrived last summer from Borussia Dortmund, received 82 per cent of the FWA vote, the biggest margin since the Premier League began.

Arsenal midfield pair Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were second and third while City teammate Kevin De Bruyne came fourth and Manchester United's Marcus Rashford fifth.
