Victor Anichebe is looking to force his way into Everton's starting line-up next season.
The 24-year old Nigerian striker has mainly been used as a substitute during his time at Goodison Park, which began in 2006, but after some stellar performances last term is hoping he can now step into the limelight on Merseyside.
"I think I need to be starting games. Maybe if it was not for my injuries I would already be starting games, but that's in the past now," he said.
"I'm 24 now and it's the time you're supposed to be maturing into whatever position or kind of player you are."
