Sunderland boss David Moyes has once again criticised match officials following his side's 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the EFL Cup fourth-round clash.
Moyes insisted that his players were robbed after referee Chris Kavanagh failed to award a penalty for Maya Yoshida's foul on Victor Anichebe late in the game.
"We were robbed in the end not to get a penalty kick," he said.
"The players didn't deserve to lose tonight.
"I have to say Southampton scored a worldy of a goal (through Sofiane Boufal), but we didn't deserve to lose the game, that's for sure."
However, Moyes didn't dispute his sending off in the game and admitted that the fourth official was right to send him from the touchline.
"I rightly got sent off," he added.
"He was right to send me off because I left my box and swore. He was right to send me off and I have no problems with that."
