'Angry' Ajax coach Schreuder hits out at Man Utd signing Antony; discusses Chelsea attacker Ziyech

Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder has hit out at Antony after his move to Manchester United.

Antony's switch from Ajax to United was confirmed this morning.

Schreuder addressed Antony not being considered for selection in the opening rounds of the season, saying on Rondo: "I talked to him about it.

"I understand if you're disappointed for a day or two, but you're also a professional in the end. But at some point you realise what's going on. Then I said: 'Then I'll just continue with the guys who will be here'.

"Then I think: you're just a bloody player. You just have to do your thing. I talk to him about it and hear his side of the story. You try to push it off as a coach and move on with the guys you have. But my personal feeling is that it's just bad.

"It's a shame that it happens. Personally, I think it's just bad that this can happen within our organisation. If you're Ajax, it's just bad that this happens. Who are responsible for it? There are of course several people who decide about it.

"I just think it's bad that it happens. I'm also angry about it. Then I think: what are we doing? What frustrates me most? It's about the overall picture. That frustrates you as a trainer."

Schreuder also spoke of a move for Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech.

He added: "Everyone knows that I think Hakim is a very good player. We know each other well from the time at FC Twente, of course. He is a wonderful player. But it is very difficult to attract another player now. We have several players there who can play there.

"We still got Francisco Conceição, a young boy. Dusan Tadic played there yesterday and Steven Berghuis can play there. And possibly Mohammed Kudus too."
