Former New York Red Bulls star Juan Pablo Angel is likely to join LA Galaxy in the next week or so according to Bruce Arena.
The Galaxy coach says that talks with the Colombian ace, who holds the scoring record at New York, are ongoing and expects there to be a decision very soon.
"We're moving forward with our discussions," said Arena. "We're hopeful we can reach a conclusion over the next week and have him in for preseason."
The Galaxy took Angel in the MLS Re-Entry Draft in December but have so far been unable to reach an agreement with the ex-Aston Villa star. However, news that Edson Buddle has signed with German 2.Bundesliga club FC Ingolstadt will have the LA outfit desperate to bring in a striker of quality.
