Former Manchester City striker Andy Cole believes they can win the Champions League this season.
Despite this week's stumbles, Cole is excited by what he's seen at the Etihad, where son Devante is starring for the U21s.
Cole told the Daily Star Sunday: "Manuel Pellegrini has taken the shackles off. If you look at City, player for player, they've got the best squad.
"Pellegrini has told them, 'I play a certain brand of football, I'm attack-minded and I want my attacking players to score goals'.
"And they have. To get over 100 goals by January is extraordinary and it is down to his philosophy.
"City, believe me, are good enough to win the Champions League. United, though, are struggling to qualify for it."
