Darren Anderton has urged Tottenham to keep hold of star midfielder Luka Modric.
The former Spurs star told the Daily Star: "Modric is a very exciting player who has that little bit of something extra that sets him apart from the rest.
"He can see a pass and make a difference with a telling through ball. He is the sort of player who has been really appreciated by Tottenham fans down the years.
"And there is definitely more to come from him. He has had a season to settle and, when you know the Premier League and can handle the pace and the power of the game here, it is a huge advantage.
"He can only get better. Harry always gets the best out of players with flair. I think Modric will be even better next season. When I was at Spurs we often had the makings of a very good team but lost important players at crunch times.
"I don't see that happening this summer as I think Tottenham will keep hold of most of their star names."
Anderton insists it is vital Spurs qualify for Europe on a regular basis.
He added: "Harry has waltzed into the club when they were in trouble and transformed their fortunes. It is important they get European football to bring in even more top-quality names."
