Anderlecht manager Vincent Kompany is eager to bring Philippe Sandler back to the club next season.

The Manchester City defender spent last term on-loan with Anderlecht and did enough to impress Kompany. The pair played together at City last year.

HLN says Kompany is eager to extend the loan for another 12 months, though negotiations won't be smooth.

City want to delay talks until they know whether the appeal against their two season Champions League ban has been successful.

City management may also wish to loan Sandler to an English club to see how he handles local football.
