Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to revive his long-term interest in Manchester City winger Raheem Stering.
Florentino has been following Sterling since his days with Liverpool, believing the England international can make a big impact as a Real player on and off the pitch.
The Athletic says new coach Carlo Ancelotti is also a fan and the pair have discussed moving for the England hero this summer.
Sterling is unsure about new contract talks with City and is open to a fresh challenge.
Any move for the England international would need around €90m from Real Madrid, which could be a problem given Florentino's interest in PSG star Kylian Mbappe.
