Carlo Ancelotti has agreed in principle to become the next manager of Everton.
The Italian, who was sacked by Napoli a week ago, arrived for talks in Liverpool on Monday.
Sky Sports says Ancelotti could be unveiled as Marco Silva's successor prior to Wednesday's League Cup quarter-final against Leicester City.
Duncan Ferguson is set to remain part of the first-team coaching staff after Ancelotti's appointment.
Ancelotti has experience in the Premier League, having won the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield in two years at Chelsea.
