Amauri is keen to see Alessandro del Piero sign a new contract with Juventus.

The striker said: "Del Piero is a symbol for this team, and indeed for all of Juve. If he chooses to stay at Juve for life, it would be magnificent, symbols now in modern football are few.

"Diego is a player of great quality, he will allow us to do more in front of goal, I cannot wait to have him with us on the field."
