Xabi Alonso remains unconvinced over his Liverpool future following reported interest from Real Madrid. Asked whether or not it would be disappointing to stay at Liverpool next year, Alonso said, "I cannot respond to that.

"It is clear that on the outside there are reports about your future, but you cannot do much and the only thing we can do is train normally," he said.

"It is something that we do not talk about too much in the (Spain) team. Each player thinks about their own future, but it does not create tension nor agitation in the group. We are very focused on our objective."
