Almeria goalkeeper Diego Alves doesn't feel snubbed by his old coach Unai Emery, now in charge of Valencia.
Rather than go for the Brazilian, Emery chose to sign Alves' compatriot, Renan, in the summer to boost his keeper stocks. But Alves says: "It doesn't matter.
"I was just happy to be the first Brazilian goalkeeper to play in Spain. Now another of my countrymen will get his chance.
"For me, he has been like a father. He always talked with me and advised me. I have a lot to thank him for."
