Allsopp nets double in DC United reserves hit-out

Danny Allsopp netted a brace as DC United reserves and non-rostered players defeated second-division side Crystal Palace Baltimore 5-2 in a trial match at RFK Stadium.

The Australian striker scored in the 51st and 65th minutes before being subbed off in the 67th minute.

DCU's other goals were scored by Adam Cristman and trialist Drew Yates whilst Junior Da Silva, younger brother of ex-DCU and current Philadelphia Union midfielder Fred also got in on the act with a 63rd minute goal.

Allsopp's form will come as a major boost for DCU coach Curt Onalfo who has yet to see his side score a goal in their opening two league matches.
