Allegri not fazed by difficult Juventus start

Massimiliano Allegri was not too concerned by the early-season draw Juventus will encounter in 2016/17.

The reigning Serie A champions kick off their title defence with a home clash against last season's fifth-placed finishers Fiorentina on August 21 before meeting Lazio and Inter Milan in three of their first four league fixtures.

Regarding the difficult looking beginning to the campaign, a pragmatic Allegri feels that all matches in Italy's top flight are important regardless of the opposition.

"Yes, we are going to play very important teams right from the beginning," said Allegri in Australia.

"At the end in the league, what is going to matter is getting as many wins as possible, so it doesn't matter if if is against an important team or a middle team.

"If we think about last year, we managed to achieve only one point form the first three (match) days so surely we will not be able to make it worse than last season."

Juventus are preparing for the new season by taking part in the International Champions Cup in Melbourne. They meet Tottenham Hotspur at the MCG on Tuesday following their 1-1 draw and subsequent penalty shootout loss to Melbourne Victory at the same venue on Saturday.
