Allardyce admits Newcastle's Martins unlikely to partner Owen

Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce admits Michael Owen is unlikely to play at his best alongside Obafemi Martins.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I think Michael enjoys playing with a big striker. But I don't think he needs to name a certain player.

"He simply enjoys playing with a big man. Luckily for us we have two big men here. We also have two small men, who are very good players indeed.

"So I have really great options. I have a great problem in my selection process in terms of keeping these four boys happy."
