Allan is delighted with his first months at Everton.
The midfielder re-joined Carlo Ancelotti in a £20m move from Napoli and recorded 12 Premier League appearances before suffering a hamstring injury in the win over Leicester City on Wednesday.
Allan said: "First of all, Everton is a big club with a great history.
"Also, with the project that's being put together here, with plans for a new stadium, Ancelotti as the coach, it's a great thing.
"So, when the opportunity came up to come here I didn't think twice. I embraced the project.
"To be here playing in this league and wearing Everton's shirt is really a dream come true.
"I hope I can put in some great performances and help my teammates have a good season."
Allan is also confident Everton will continue to prosper under the 'calmness and wisdom' of Ancelotti.
He added: "Carlo is a top guy, someone who manages to keep all members of the squad happy.
"He knows how to treat players on a day-to-day basis, which is crucial because he manages to get 100% out of the players.
"It's great working with him. We've had some ups and downs but with Carlo's calmness and wisdom, I'm convinced moving forward we'll improve."
