ALL THE RECORDS: History made as Liverpool thrash Man Utd 7-0

Records tumbled as Liverpool thrashed Manchester United 7-0 on Sunday at Anfield.

The defeat is Manchester United's biggest since 1931, when Wolverhampton beat United by the same numbers.

The victory is the biggest for Liverpool against their arch-rivals. The biggest to date was in 1895, when the Merseyside club won 7-1, with them both in the English Second Division.

Mohammed Salah also made Liverpool history when with his two goals he overtook Robbie Fowler as the top scorer in a LFC shirt with his 129th goal for the club.

The same Salah also became the first Liverpool player to score six times in a row against Manchester United.

Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez also scored twice each, marking the first time since 1910 that two players scored twice in their first game against Manchester United.

With the win, Liverpool has moved up to sixth place. Manchester United is third in the Premier League.
