Alex Mac Allister admits Brighton players frustrated after Aston Villa defeat

Alex Mac Allister was left frustrated after Brighton's 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

Mac Allister put Brighton ahead before Villa stormed back.

He said, "Disappointed. We're not happy with the result or the second half. We can play better. We made a few mistakes.

"Our idea is clear - we try to build up from the back. We have to take the responsibility.

"It's still a good record. Maybe we'd like to have won a few more games because we deserve it. But we're happy. This league is the hardest in the world. We'll keep working after the World Cup."

On his goal, Mac Allister added: "We spoke about that situation. We knew Martinez plays a triangle wth Mings. We spoke about being aggressive. We worked on it during the week. I was happy I could score.

"In the second half there was no game. They wasted time. The referee let them waste time. We didn't play as much as we wanted to. That's the way they want to play football."
