Alex Kacaniklic thrilled with personal success at Fulham

Alex Kacaniklic is delighted with his progress at Fulham.

The 20-year-old recognises the progress he has made.

"It was a good second half of the season," he told fulhamfc.com. "Watford went really well - Ray Lewington had recommended I went there to gain some experience, and they offered me my first chance to play first-team football. I learned a lot from that and I hope I helped the team. We were 11th when I left, and only six points from the play-offs. They didn't quite make it, but it was still a great season for them.

"But to then come back to Fulham and break into the first-team here was perfect. I've only played four times, so I'm staying grounded. It's not as if I've 'arrived' or anything, and I'll need to work extra hard next season to get a regular place in the squad. But it's been a start. All I want to do is play at Fulham, and it feels as if this justifies having come here from Liverpool. It's been encouraging."
