Alaves chief Sergio Fernandes has welcomed new signing Samu Omorodion.

The striker joins on-loan for the season from Atletico Madrid, which only signed him last week from Granada.

Fernandez enthused: "He's one of the biggest projects in Spanish football.

"He is here so that he can score goals.

"He has conviction and tranquility to develop functions within the team and be that finisher and finisher that we are looking for.,"
