Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad were confident of having already signed Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian is still the subject of what could be a world record transfer bid from the Middle Eastern club.
However, Al-Ittihad had prepared a private jet for Salah on September 1st, thinking he would join on that day.
Per the Liverpool Echo, a £150 million bid was launched that day, which Al-Ittihad thought would be accepted.
However, Fenway Sports Group decided against accepting the offer, instantly rejecting it.
Now they are set to go back in with another bid, which will be increased by as much as 30%.
