The Dutchman passed his Arsenal medical in London on Friday.
Timber is "so excited" with the idea of playing for Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta, according to journalist Charles Watts.
The defender is now ready to sign his Arsenal forms.
Ajax have accepted a bid of close to £40m from Arsenal for Timber.
