Ajax chief Overmars: Why Richarlison going to Watford...

Ajax chief Marc Overmars admits they left Fluminense striker Richarlison to Watford last week.

Watford have struck a deal for the youngster worth €15.5m plus a ten percent sell on fee, beating Ajax's final €12m offer.

Overmars admitted: "It's a tough market because many players are in the hands of big investors. Brazil is the hardest because they change the rules of the game every day.

"We're just working differently. In South America it's quite normal for clubs to hold twenty to thirty percent of a player's rights. Ajax does not want to cooperate, that's bad for us."

Richarlison, 20, played 38 games for Flu, scoring ten goals.
