The agent of Nicolas Burdisso says the Inter Milan defender is desperate to sign permanently with Roma.
Inter have slapped a €10 million price-tag on the Argentina international, which is well out of range for Roma.
Fernando Hidalgo said: "The two clubs are negotiating the price. The player has decided to remain in Rome and I have already found an agreement with Roma for four years. Now it is up to them.
"But Burdisso is disappointed because we still do not know where he will go.
"He is in Buenos Aires and does not know where and when to return to Italy. He insists on Roma.
"If Inter keeps asking 10 million, it seems pointless, because we know that Roma can not spend this. I think the cycle is over at Inter for Burdisso."
