Agent reveals Everton missed out on German international

Agent Barry Silkman said Everton missed out on a deal to sign Germany international Kevin Kuranyi on transfer deadline day. "It was very busy (deadline day), but the deal I was working on didn't get done," Silkman told Sky Sports News. "I think I spent three days working for nothing.

"It started off as a permanent deal then it moved in to a loan deal and then eventually the club in Germany, who was Schalke, would not let the player come on loan.

"It was a player called Kevin Kuranyi. He was going to Everton.

"David (Moyes) wanted both (Kuranyi & Jo) of them as he is obviously struggling for strikers and as well as taking Jo he would have taken Kevin.

"He told me he watched Kevin play four years ago and absolutely loved him.

"So I was working really hard on getting him on loan because the player is not happy at Schalke and I know David really, really likes him.

"Obviously the deal didn't happen so we have got to wait until the summer and see if we can do something then."
